Jay Reatard- New Album Dropping August 18th

Jay Reatard, Watch Me FallJay Reatard’s new album will be titled “Watch Me Fall” and will be released on Matador August 18th. The first single off the album will be “It Ain’t Gonna Save Me” which you can download below.

Jay on the making of the album:

“A lot of bands these days, they approach the making of an album like it’s collecting songs, they don’t think about how all of the songs are going to work together. They sequence their albums on iTunes, wondering what songs sound best next to each other rather than putting them together as they were written. That’s not an album.”

Jay has stateside dates scheduled through most of June and July 11- no Atlanta dates announced or expected on this leg. Previous Atlanta footage can be found here.

Additional information about the album and tour dates can be found at Matador.
