There will be a benefit for BJ Wed., 7/1 at Drunken Unicorn to help cover his funeral expenses. Renegades (Ian, Cole, and Joe from Black Lips), Pizza Party, Baby Dinosaur Vs Extinction, and Trip Hop Cowboy will be on the bill.
BJ’s been in and out of hospice recently which is very sad news to see. Chad Radford has a great, albeit sobering, post up on CL about the life of BJ.
I recently lost my mother to cancer and the fact that BJ is having to plan his own funeral is heartbreaking. Knowing that he has some great friends around him is comforting. Come out and support him tomorrow night. The fact you’ll hear some great tunes is icing on that cake of life.
